Fire Risk Assessments ( FRA):
The legislation which governs the area of Fire Protection is the Regulatory Reform ( Fire Safety) Order 2005 and it applies to most non domestic buildings. All businesses should have a fire risk assessment in place but the order specifies that where there are 5 or more people this needs to be in written form.
In certain straightforward situations it's feasible to carry out the FRA yourself and as we understand that Fire Safety may be just one of your many responsibilities we're happy to explain exactly what's required.
However, in more complex buildings or where many people gather or work we would recommend using the services of an experienced specialist company, such as JHJ Fire Safety to deal with the more complicated issues that may arise.
What we do:
During our visit we identify potential Fire Hazards in your building, assess the Fire Protection Measures in place and produce a Fire Safety Action Plan based on these findings. Your FRA will be presented in a personalised folder with sections for other vital information such as:
- Emergency plan
- Fire training
- Fire alarm test log
- Fire extinguisher maintenance log
- Emergency lighting checklist
If you do become a client we're also able to liase with your local Fire and Rescue Service if necessary.
